At the conclusion of the Oncology Congress, participants will be better able to:
- Review new guidelines for both imaging and genetic screening to improve earlier diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Assess recent clinical data for immunotherapies, targeted therapies and anti-angiogenic therapies in order to improve clinical decision-making processes.
- Design individualized treatment plans for patients with breast, prostate, lung, and hematologic cancers and develop effective communication skills when caring for patients with these malignancies.
- Examine new AJCC staging criteria, surgical techniques and radiologic approaches relative to the enhancement of treating localized tumors to optimize patient outcomes.
- Evaluate new molecular profiling tools that are being used to guide treatment decisions for early-stage NSCLC, breast, prostate and other tumor types in an effort to improve clinical performance and outcomes.
- Discuss emerging data on monoclonal antibodies in adjuvant therapy for early-stage NSCLC, breast, prostate, colon/rectal, renal cell and other tumor types.
- Develop interprofessional and patient communications skills that will improve patient satisfaction and health outcomes.
